PhysioForma - the unique shape of Chicco dummies:

PhysioForma Soft is a baby dummy with a unique shape. It fits perfectly on the palate and supports the correct position of the tongue: forward and upwards. This keeps the airways naturally open, supporting physiological breathing (through the nose), which is very important for the correct development of the child.
The shape of the PhysioForma Soft soother also allows constant, even pressure on the palate, supporting its expansion and thus creating space for teeth. Incorrect positioning of the tongue in the mouth can promote future dental problems such as crowding, open bite or crossbite.
The PhysioForma shape is:

a thin and flexible dummy base that allows the mouth to close comfortably,
an upward-facing head that leaves space for the natural position of the tongue,
a curved head that distributes the pressure of the tongue evenly over the palate,
a depression on the underside of the head and fine grooves that mimic the natural shape of the palate to help place the tongue in the correct position
The shape of the PhysioForma is the result of collaboration between the Osservatorio Chicco Research Centre, experienced paediatricians and the Italian Society of Orthodontics.
