The Mei Tai Asian sand carrier by Amazonas is a combination of a traditional sling and a modern carrying system. It is made of soft cotton fabric, is breathable and has no frame or buckles. The shape is adapted to the natural posture of the newborn. The baby sits like a little frog in a crouching position, which is very important for the development of the hip joint. The spine is still rounded as it was in the womb and can now only be stretched slowly. The spine is not fully developed until the toddler is able to stand independently. The back of the Mei Tai carrier is ergonomically shaped to accommodate this curvature of the back.
