Help that works for you

Start with a few tasks that take pressure off the parents. Ask for specific help, such as a meal or a shopping trip. Agree the timing and scope with the helper first. This planner does not send anything or invite anyone. You can decline visitors or suggest another day.

This plan does not assess a parent's or baby's health. Discuss concerns about recovery, feeding, wellbeing or care with a midwife, doctor or appropriate professional. Practical help complements professional care. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
